It’s hard to appreciate just how rarely young internet users go to a classic website for information. With so many digital platforms, forums and chat options, they look elsewhere for their information and advice, creating a specific challenge when you’re trying to engage with them.

Design with Intent
To make sure the RYP website would appeal to young people, we asked young people what would be appealing. Mobile-first, picture- and video-heavy content and app-like functionality and behaviour were vitally important if we were to get engagement, they said.
Still in development and expected to continue to grow as the project evolves, the site is built in some programming thing, with a way of doing things that means it can do other things.
