ABOUT THE CLIENT

Going superpremium is all about storytelling and texture, with layers of storytelling giving different entry points to the brand for shoppers with different needs.

Although Cailler is the favourite chocolate brand in Switzerland, it’s little known outside its homeland. Nestlé wanted to change that, by launching a superpremium version of the brand into international duty-free channels and selected retail locations.

How we helped

Branding with purpose

Cailler’s long, rich history is well known in Switzerland. For international travellers, the new packaging had to capture 200 years of craftsmanship and be clear about the product itself.

The tagline Home of Swiss Chocolate since 1819” was supported by an on-pack brand story full of chocolate innovation and passion, supported by a sumptuous, layered design that makes it irresistibly giftable.

The brand-meets-world moment was a successful launch through a pop-up store at Zürich Airport, with new product, new POS and even a virtual reality “meet the Cailler cows” experience. Shooting a video of this on-site provided a critical sales tool to win over further sales outlets for a great first phase roll-out.
